Introduction to Empathy

Empathetic leadership builds trust and fosters a deep sense of community. It involves understanding non-verbal cues, responding with compassion, and creating a safe environment. The support group leader needs to practice active listening, be able to show vulnerability and make sure that everyone feels seen and heard. At the same time, the group leader needs to be aware of their emotional well-being and not get overwhelmed.
