Introduction to Active Surveillance

Active surveillance is for men with low-risk prostate cancer. The goal is to monitor cancer without using aggressive treatments that have side effects, such as urinary incontinence and erectile dysfunction (ED). It involves regular PSA testing, digital rectal exams (DRE), and sometimes repeat biopsies.
